A subsidiary of the French nuclear company Areva will supply fuel for four nuclear power plants in the USA for $560 million, as it follows from a report released by Areva NP, Rambler News reports on Tuesday.
Contracts, which will take effect from 2020, provide for the delivery of three types of nuclear fuel assemblies: Atrium11 for water-to-water stations with fluidized reactors and the fuels of Gaia and HTP for double-circuit reactors with water under pressure.
All types of nuclear fuel assemblies will be produced at a plant located in the U.S. state of Washington.
As a reference, Areva is a French multinational group specializing in nuclear power and renewable energy.
