Each of the first 95 residential homes in the UK, which has been checked against the compliance with fire safety requirements, has not passed an inspection, Reuters reported citing an official representative of the Prime Minister Theresa May.

After a fire in London at a 24-storey residential building Grenfell Tower, which killed at least 79 people, the British authorities are checking the fire safety in 600 high-rise residential buildings.

As a result, 95 buildings in 32 regions of the country have failed the inspection.

Scotland Yard said that the fire at Grenfell Tower began because of a Hotpoint refrigerator of FF175BP model. Also, it was revealed that the lining and insulation of the building had not passed tests for compliance with fire safety standards.
