Rusnano, a Russian corporation aimed at commercializing developments in nanotechnology, notes the large demand from Russian banks to finance the construction of wind power plants.
In the near future, a tender for the selection of creditor banks for the joint project of JSC Rusnano and the energy company Fortum, the deputy head of the company’s investment department, Alisher Kalanov, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
In June, Fortum Energy won a tender for the right to build wind farms with a total capacity of 1 GW. Previously, the company reported that the project cost may reach 100 billion rubles, 15 billion rubles of them will invest each of the companies, and the rest amount of funds is planned to be attracted from banks.
