$17m to be allocated to modernization of Moscow’s main airport

Almost 1 billion rubles (about $17 million) will be invested in the expansion of Terminal C at Moscow’s international airport Sheremetyevo in 2017, as it follows from the documentation published on the website of JSC International Airport Sheremetyevo.




The documents specify that the company will invest 946,8 million rubles in the modernization and expansion of Terminal C.

The total volume of Sheremetyevo investment program this year is 8.03 billion rubles, of which 6,3 billion rubles are intended for capital construction, 1,46 billion rubles to be spent on technical re-equipment and 238,5 million rubles are intended for the establishment of information and communication systems.

As it was reported earlier, Sheremetyevo plans to invest 19.9 billion rubles in the reconstruction and expansion of the existing passenger Terminal C. These works should be completed by 2021. As a result, the terminal’s capacity will be increased from 6 million to 20 million people per year.
