The Irkutsk region’s Development Corporation will invest 100 million rubles in the construction of greenhouses and distribution center – a vegetable store, TASS news agency reports on June 20 with reference to general director of the Corporation Oleg Sevryukov.
“The theme of the development of greenhouse farming is a priority for us in the agricultural sector. On the basis of a regional enterprise – Iskra greenhouse complex (owned by the Irkutsk region) we are involved in a program of its long-term development, the Corporation’s investment in the project amount to 100 million rubles,” the report quotes Mr. Sevryukov.
At the first stage, winter greenhouses are planned to be built, then to launch a vegetable store for the storage, processing, packing, and shipment of products – a total of 10,000 tons of potatoes and 7,500 tons of other vegetables.
The construction activities will start in 2017 and end in two years.
