American oil and gas companies of Frontera Resources and Longfellow are going to extract oil and gas in the Odessa and Poltava regions of Ukraine, according to the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, Rambler News reports on Monday.
The Ministry noted that the relative interdepartmental commission for the arrangement of conclusion and implementation of agreements on production sharing took into consideration the request of companies of Frontera Resources and Longfellow for the implementation of projects for the exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons, including that from unconventional sources, within subsoil plots offered by these companies respectively in the Odessa and Poltava regions.
The Commission has instructed to undertake consultations on optimization of the size of a subsoil proposed by Frontera Resources, the Ministry added.
