The first meeting of Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump will be held at G20 summit in Hamburg on July 7, the Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told RIA Novosti news agency on Tuesday.
Earlier, the White house informed about a forthcoming meeting between Putin and Trump in Hamburg, without specifying the exact date of the conversation between the two leaders.
The day before, on July 3, preparations for the meeting of presidents of Russia and the United States were discussed at a meeting of deputy head of the US State Department Thomas Shannon and Russian ambassador to the USA Sergey Kislyak.
CNN TV channel, citing sources in the White House, previously reported that over the course of the meeting, the US President plans to focus on discussing the situation in Syria and Ukraine.
