The government of Finland purchases from Russia a building located at Bolshaya Konyushennaya Street in the city of St. Petersburg, where economist Nikolai Danielson lived in the period of 1890-1918.

Now the House of Finland is located in this building.

Under the agreement, the Finnish government buys the premises with a total area of more than 4.500 square meters for 508,1 million rubles (about $8,6 million), according to a statement released by the Ministry of Economic Development.

Earlier it was reported that the sale would be conducted as part of the strengthening and development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of culture, entrepreneurship and education.

The building located on Bolshaya Konyushennaya Street was erected in 1847 by architect Harald Bosse.
