The authorities of the Krasnodar region and the city of Sochi, in Russia, are going to sign a contract with Rostec corporation on the construction of a rubbish recycling plant, a member of Russian Parliament representing the Sochi electoral district, Konstantin Zatulin, announced at a press conference on Tuesday.




Mr. Zatulin recalled that the Russian government had made a decision that Rostec would construct four rubbish processing plants in the Moscow region and one in the city of Kazan.

“The Governor of the Krasnodar region appealed to the Russian government with a request to build two more such plants in Sochi and Taman,” the parliamentarian said.

According to him, the cost of one recycling plant is estimated at 160 billion rubles ($2,7 billion), the payback period will be about 10 years.
