Russian factory develops crane for strategic facilities construction

LLC Liteino-Mekhanicheski Zavod, a casting and mechanical plant based in the Chelyabinsk region, Russia, has developed an industrial design of a new crane model TDK-40, the press office of the head of the region reports on Wednesday.




The crane development was launched last year, the machinery can be used in construction of strategic facilities, including nuclear power plants, thermal power plants, hydroelectric power stations, spaceports, the largest industrial and infrastructure projects, as well as in building and maintenance of ports and shipyards.

The crane’s maximum bearing capacity amounts to 40 tons. It can operate at temperatures from minus 40 to plus 40 Celsius.

According to the press office, Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation was one of the first potential consumers getting interested in the new product.
