The New Development Bank of BRICS is considering two projects in Russia totaling $560 million, the president of the bank, Kundapur Vaman Kamath.
“We have a very strong package of projects for years 2017-2018. It includes 23 projects totaling about $6 billion. In China, we have five projects amounting to 1.7 billion, all of them are sovereign bonds, in India there are six projects worth $1.8 billion, all of them are sovereign, and in Brazil we have seven projects totaling $800 million, of which five account for sovereign loans and two for non-sovereign ones,” Mr. Kamath said during a press conference, which was broadcast from Shanghai.
“In Russia we have two actual project for $560 million, both are sovereign. In South Africa we are considering three projects amounting to $1.2 billion, and all of them are non-sovereign,” the bank’s president added.
