Press Secretary of Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, has said that these are Russian-made gas turbines that have been installed at the under construction power plants in the Crimean Republic, Rambler News reports on Monday.
“In the Crimea, turbines produced in Russia, and assembled from Russian components are being installed,” Dmitry Peskov stressed.
Earlier, the media reported that in the Crimea, which is subject to the EU sanctions, gas turbines produced by German company Siemens have been supplied. Tekhnopromexport, a subsidiary of Russian company Rostec, announced that the gas turbines intended for Crimean power plants had been purchased on the secondary market and modernized in Russia.
On July 7, Siemens established a special team to verify the information on the supply of turbines of its production to the Crimea.
