The German pharmaceutical company Bionorica SE has set to construction of its pharmaceutical factory in the Voronezh region, Russia, the press office of the regional government announced on Monday.
The project is estimate at 4,5 billion rubles ($75 million).
As far back as 2013, Bionorica SE expressed its interest in the implementation in the territory of the Voronezh region of an investment project for a pharmaceutical factory construction. The required plot of land was selected in the area of Maslovsky industrial park.
On July 10, the Voronezh region’s Governor Aleksey Gordeyev, and Chairman of the Management Board of Bionorica SE, Michael Popp, laid a commemorative capsule in the foundation of the pharmaceutical factory.
“Investment in the first phase of the factory will amount to almost 2,5 billion rubles. In general, the facility will cost about 4,5 billion rubles. Construction of the first factory in the Voronezh region will not only provide new jobs and taxes, but a prestige as well,” the Governor said.
