Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK) will build an ice arena in Krasnouralsk, a town in the Sverdlovsk region, for more than 200 million rubles ($3,3 million), the company’s press office said.




The project is financed by JSC Svyatogor, a metallurgical complex owned by UGMK.

Sports facility will be located on the site of the existing outdoor skating rinks for figure skating and hockey. It will include an ice arena with artificial ice, a room for puck rush practicing, coach rooms, showers, locker rooms and balconies for the audience of 800 persons. Also, there will be a gym, hall for aerobics and skate rental.

In the near future, the general contractor plans to begin groundwork. The opening of the Ice Arena is scheduled for September 1, 2018.
