Russian and Egyptian paratroopers will hold joint tactical exercises in the territory of Russia in September, the Defense Ministry of Russia says on Thursday.
“The planned drills of airborne troops of Russia and the Armed Forces of Egypt will be held in the Russian Federation for the first time”, the message reads.
According to military officials, Russia and Egypt have agreed on the theme and conditions of joint training exercises.
“Russian paratroopers have held a number of working meetings with military experts from Egypt on one of the airborne troops’ ranges of Russia, in the Krasnodar region. There they familiarized themselves, in particular, with an airborne training of Russian "blue berets",” the document says.
