A passenger terminal of the airport in the Russian city of Saransk, which was built for 2018 FIFA World, is planned to be put into operation in October, the press office of the head of Mordovia Republic told reporters on Friday.
Construction of a new terminal at the airport of Saransk was planned in accordance with the government decree providing for large-scale preparations for 2018 World Cup and the modernization of municipal transport infrastructure, including the construction and renovation of the whole ground infrastructure of the airport.
The acting head of the Republic, Vladimir Volkov, within the framework of an offsite meeting at the under construction facilities inspected the progress of reconstruction of the airport complex of Saransk.
