The Rosatom national corporation evaluates the opportunity of constructing 1,000 GW nuclear power facilities over the world. This is what Kirill Komarov, First Deputy Director General of the Rosatom GC spoke about at the Atomic week at EXPO-2017 in Astana.
We have determined the target, and it is absolutely realistic to build 1,000 GW atomic facilities until the year of 2050, he said.
Komarov also added that within the framework of Paris agreement many countries prefer the development of nuclear energy as it guarantees steady price for electric energy for a long period of time.
The Russian Pavilion has started its work at the Atomic Week at Astana EXPO-2017 today.
