The Swiss producer of construction chemicals, Sika company, launches the production of high performance waterproofing material — PVC-membranes at their plant in Lobnya (the Moscow region). The material is widely used in the sphere of construction.
The membrane market in Russia grows faster than the construction market, the company reports, the 6% annual growth of PVC-membranes production is forecast until 2020.
Due to the production of PVC-membranes in Russia the company will significantly decrease the transportation and logistics expenses, Paul Schuler, Executive Director of Sika, said. Earlier, the Lobnya plant produced dry mix mortars and high performance additives.
PVC-membranes are used for waterproofing of roofs, cellars, underground parking and tunnels.
