The production of Bе-200 aircraft may be localized in China, Kommersant reports today with reference to Director General of Taganrog Research and Production Complex named after Beriev (TANTK), Yury Grudinin.
TANTK together with Rosaviation and CAAC are preparing an application for the validation of the certificate of Bе-200 type of aircraft in China.
According to Grudinin, TANTK has already signed a contract with the Chinese Leader Energy Aircraft Manufacturing Co. Ltd for two aircraft.
Bе-200 is a multipurpose amphibian assigned for fire-fighting, emergency aid, search and rescue on the water, ambulance and cargo transportation. In 2017 the plant is planned to produce 4 aircraft, in 5 years – six aircraft.
Additionally, the Russian and the Chinese parties signed a number of agreements of the arrangement of the licensed production of the Be-103 light amphibia, the construction of a service centre for maintenance and of a school for pilot and technicians training.
