The law was adopted by the RF State Duma and approved by the RF Federation Council on July 5th and 12th, correspondingly
President Vladimir Putin signed the Federal Law on the amendments to the laws on foreign investments in the RF and on the order of foreign investments in business entities of strategic importance for the defence and security of the country.
The document is published today on the official website of legal information.
Even Russian citizens naturalized in other countries and Russian organisations controlled by foreign investors are defined as foreign investors by the law. All deals by foreign investors are to pass preliminary approvals.
The violation of the law will be considered in commercial court.
