The press office of the Moscow regional ministry of construction and utilities has reported that the regional profile minister, Evgeny Khromushin, thinks Japanese practice of vertical gardening to be useful for the Moscow region cities.

This is a quite applicable practice for dense commercial development where local quarters needing gardening are created, — the regional Head of ministry is cited by the press office.

According to him, the Japanese laws provide that 20% or more of the developed area over 1,000 sq. m should be beautified with plants, including vertical gardens. This method is used for both decoration of walls and facades and creation of natural protection against sunrays and providing for residents’ psychological relaxation.

We should use Japanese experience for landscaping and beautifying the Moscow region, Mr Khromushin said.
