According to The San Francisco Chronicle, engineers have come up with a potential solution, which might cost between $100 m and $150 m, that could stop San Francisco's 58-story Millennium Tower from sinking and bring it upright again.

LERA and DeSimone Consulting Engineers have proposed, additionally to the existing 900 piles reaching down to 91 feet (28 metres) below ground, drilling up to 100 new piles into the bedrock 200 feet (61 metres)underneath the building.

To remind you, the famous luxury condominium tower has sunk 17 inches (43 centimetres) since its construction began in 2005 due to unstable soil and groundwater pumped from a major transit project next door.
