Russia prepares to retaliate for the adoption by Poland of the law on decommunization, which provides for the dismantling of monuments to Soviet soldiers, Izvestia reports with reference to sources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
“In any case, Moscow will not dismiss the unfriendly actions of Warsaw,” the Ministry said, adding that the measures would be “asymmetrical”.
Currently a number of counter measures are being considered, including personal sanctions against those involved in the development of the law and economic enforcement actions.
