The U.S bill on sanctions against Russia may harm American and European companies, because the proposed restrictions affect energy projects with Russia.
This conclusion was made by Professor at Georgetown University Angela Stent in an article in the National Interest.
Stent cites as example the project for the construction of Nord Stream 2 pipeline. Not only Germany, but most of its European partners are interested in the project, because it will allow meet their needs for gas in the future. However, the U.S. anti-Russian sanctions can deny these states such a possibility.
