Within the framework of the housing renovation program in Moscow, at least 30 million square meters of modern and comfortable housing is planned to be built, Marat Khusnullin, the Deputy Mayor of the city for urban policy and construction, said on Wednesday.
“As early as this year we are going to begin the design and construction of 5 million square meters of housing under this program, — Mr. Khusnullin announced.
Earlier, the Deputy Mayor said that in 2018 the construction of over 60,000 apartments would be launched for resettlement under the renovation program, which is about 2 million square meters for the needs of resettlers.
This year, the Moscow authorities plan to put into operation about 30 houses for resettlers. As a reference, the housing renovation program was approved on August 1, 2017, and provides for the resettlement of residents of more than 350,000 apartments.
