The Architectural Bureau founded by the famous architect Zaha Hadid — Zaha Hadid Architects — will design the international airport in Navi Mumbai, a satellite city of the Indian Mumbai, according to the materials published on the website of the Bureau.




The company has won an international competition announced by GVK which operates the existing Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. In particular, Zaha Hadid Architects will be in charge of the overall long-term design and construction of the first terminal, control tower, and related ground facilities.

An airport with a capacity of over 60 million passengers per year will be connected to the city via Mumbai harbour by a railway network.
