The Russian Construction Ministry has revealed average market prices for housing in Russia for the second quarter of this year. The relevant document was published on Thursday on the federal website of legal acts.




Among the most expensive regions are Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Sakhalin region. The price per square meter in these regions amounted to 91,600, 67,200 and 62,900 rubles ($1,600, $1,177 and $1,100) respectively. In Moscow, the average housing price remained unchanged, while in St. Petersburg and the Sakhalin region the cost per square meter has increased by more than 3,000 rubles ($52).  

It is noteworthy that three Russian Far Eastern regions have been included in the list of the most expensive ones in terms of the price per square meter of the housing. So, in addition to the Sakhalin region, Primorye and Yakutia rated high, with the price for one square meter reaching 53,100 and 52,900 rubles ($930 and $927) respectively.

The cheapest region in this regard is the Republic of Adygea and Kabardino-Balkaria, situated in the Caucasus, with the price per square meter of living space being less than 30,000 rubles ($525).
