Gazprom has completed 991 km or 53% of the offshore part of its gas pipeline designed to deliver the Russian fuel to Turkey and Europe, the company reports on Wednesday.

The pipeline is being constructed within the Turkish Stream project. The report specifies that the construction activities are believed to be completed in time. The builders have laid 991 km or 53% of the offshore part of both strings.

Earlier this month it was reported that 50% of this part of the pipeline had been completed.

We should remind you that this is a project providing for building a gas export pipeline running from the territory of the Russian Federation across the Black Sea. The first string is intended for Turkish consumers and the second one should supply the gas further to the EU.
