A new cheese factory worth 30 million rubles ($523,000) will be located on the premises of the M8 industrial park in Sergiyev Posad, a city near Moscow, the media reported on Thursday.

It will be a private enterprise owned by Cheese & Beer company. Thirty workers will be involved in the cheese production for Russia’s growing market. The demand for cheese in Russia has jumped after relative sanctions had been imposed on dairy products originating from Western countries.

At present, an agreement has already been signed between the local authorities and the company on the facility’s construction which is scheduled to be completed in two years.

The company will use both French and Italian technologies in the production of its cheeses. Thus, the factory will be capable of producing high-quality products while meeting the existing demand of consumers. In addition, the company will be open to visitors willing to look at the process of cheese production as well as carry out a tasting of products.
