Architect Roberto Rossi has created a unique house in Northern Italy, which can rotate 360 degrees.

Counterbalanced with the help of the central pillar, the eight-square building can rotate by inertia in both directions to provide its dwellers with a diverse look and optimal arrangement of solar panels. Rossi notes that the building’s capability of rotating was the client’s demand.

Situated in the vicinity of the city of Rimini, the facility was constructed by the Italian construction firm. The task was to keep the building light and allow it to withstand the load from the rotation. The building has a steel frame, the walls are made of wooden slats while the insulating panels are made of wood fiber. According to the architect, energy is provided by the solar panels installed on the roof.
