The 2nd permission for building and operating Nord Stream II in Finland can be issued as early as this month, the press office of gas pipeline’s operator reported on Wednesday.
It says that the operator has to receive 2 permissions in Finland for building and managing a gas pipeline in the territory of Finland. The 2nd permission is granted in accordance with the law of water and the decision should be taken this month. It is noteworthy that the operator has received all relevant documentation in Germany. As for the permissions from Russia, Sweden, and Denmark — three other states participating in the project — they are planned to be granted according to the schedule,” as it follows from the company's message.
We should remind you that Nord Stream II reported earlier about the receipt of the 1st permission for building Nord Stream II in Finland. The gas pipeline in that region is designed to be about over 370 kilometers in length.
