Iranian businessmen are showing interest in cooperation with Russian builders in the construction of civil infrastructure facilities on the territory of their country.
This is what Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vladimir Padalko, told reporters on Tuesday. At present, a Russian delegation is visiting Tehran, meeting with local businessmen and negotiating investments in the Iranian infrastructure. In particular, Iranians are considering the possibility of implementing joint projects with Russian building companies for the construction of roads, bridges, houses and shopping centers.
As Padalko noted, in this sense, Iranian businessmen prefer Russia to China. According to him, cooperation with Chinese enterprises looks less attractive since the Chinese tend to use their own construction materials and workers in building works. As a result, the project’s cost goes up. Russians, by contrast, demonstrate greater flexibility and are open to cooperation with local businesses.
