China Communications Construction Company (СССС, a state-owned corporation engaged in the construction of a transport infrastructure) will take part in building the Center for International Cooperation on Russky Island in Vladivostok, Russia.
This is what the press office of the Far East and Baikal Region Development Fund reported on Tuesday. The corresponding agreement between the Chinese company and the Fund was signed on the sidelines of the Asian Economic Forum in Boao, Hainan Province in South China.
CCCC considers both the possibility of direct investment in the project, including financing the construction of an international congress and exhibition center on the island, as well as the engagement in the design, construction and operation of the facilities.
We should remind you that the concept of the Russian island’s development provides for the establishment of a multiuse cluster including a congress and exhibition center with a hotel infrastructure, a research and treatment facility, sports and health center, an international business center, housing, and hotels, as well as a tourist and recreational area. A total building area is 522 hectares.
