New fast-food restaurants under the KFC brand will open in Moscow. The corresponding agreement valid for three years has already been signed.

The deal was concluded by the companies Garant Invest and Yum! Brands Russia, RIA Novosti news agency reported on Tuesday. As noted, the first restaurant out of the planned new outlets is expected to be launched in May.

Currently, 650 KFC restaurants are operating in the post-Soviet space, of which 270 are located in Moscow. Business is going well, with the company’s sales increasing by 24% in Russia and CIS countries last year.

Previously, Yum! Brands Russia decided to get rid of part of its own KFC restaurants in Russia, selling about 180 outlets to the current and future franchisees.
