The first hotel owned by the Marriott network was put into operation in the capital of Lithuania, Interfax news agency reported on Thursday citing the message from Hanner which built the new facility.
It should be noted that the 4-star hotel under the brand of Courtyard by Marriott was built on the site of a former stadium Zhalgiris, which was once the largest stadium not only in Vilnius but also throughout the country. The capacity of Zhalgiris built after the Second World War was 15,000 spectators. The authorities embarked on the facility’s demolition three years ago.
The new hotel is designed for almost 200 rooms of different categories. In addition, it has conference rooms of 220 square meters, a sports hall, as well as a shop, a bar, and a restaurant.
Construction of the hotel is estimated at 20 million euros. Apex Alliance Hotel Management will operate the new facility.
