Speaking at a meeting of the Congress of the Russian Union of Rectors, President Vladimir Putin has proposed building new student dormitories as part of an additional program of the student housing development.
The new government of Russia will have to find extra sources of funding for the implementation of this program. As the Russian President has noted, this is necessary because talented and motivated young people should have an opportunity to receive higher education, regardless of the level of income of their families and their place of residence.
“We will necessarily have to do this,” Vladimir Putin stressed. According to him, new hostels should be modern and comfortable student campuses.
