Russia is ready for holding 2018 World Cup, President Vladimir Putin of Russia said on Thursday.
“Preparations for the World Cup are almost complete, Russia is ready for the championship,” Putin said at a meeting of the supervisory board of the NGO Russia 2018 Organizing Committee in Sochi.
As reported, football matches will take place in 11 Russian cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Sochi, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd, Kaliningrad, Saransk, Samara, Yekaterinburg, and Rostov-on-Don. The championship will be held from June 14 to July 15, 2018.
Russian President has also stressed that there should be no “workathons” at the final stage of the preparation for the championship.
