Moscow city authorities intend to erect a modern sports center near the Luzhniki Olympic Complex, which is one of the world’s biggest multi-purpose sports facilities, RIA Novosti news agency reports on Friday with reference to the Moscow construction department.
The facility will be located behind the perimeter of the Luzhniki Stadium. As Deputy Mayor of Moscow, Marat Khusnullin, noted, the concept of the future building is currently being worked out. In particular, the concept will be linked to the street and road network as well as engineering communications.
Also, a tennis club for 25 courts is planned to be constructed there. According to Mr. Khusnullin, the club will become the largest one in Russia. It is expected that the facility’s construction will take two years.
