Last month, foreign citizens bought more than 2,000 residential property items in Turkey, which is a quarter more than the figure for the same period in 2017.

As RBC news agency reported on Monday with reference to the Institute of Statistics of Turkey, Iraqis ranked first among foreigners in terms of the number of property items acquired. They are followed by citizens of Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Kuwait.

Citizens of the Russian Federation are also included in the Top 5 leaders. According to available data, in April, the Russians purchased 112 property items. The list of cities that are the most popular among buyers contains Istanbul, Antalya, and Bursa.
