The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and French utility operator Veolia signed an agreement on cooperation and search for mutually beneficial investment projects in Russia within the framework of 2018 SPIEF.

As the first joint deal, the parties are considering the possibility of investing in the Rosvodokanal group of companies with the intention of creating a national leader in providing public services in Russia and CIS countries, RDIF said.

The parties intend to invest in the existing assets of Rosvodokanal located in the Russian cities of Barnaul, Krasnodar, Omsk, Orenburg, Voronezh, and Tyumen, as well as to promote the growth of the company's business in the water supply and sanitation sector through participation in concession agreements and further acquisitions.
