The Ministry of Energy of Russia has ensured the commissioning of the 500 kV electricity transmission line along the route Rostov — Andreevskaya — Vyshesteblievskaya (Taman) for power supply to the Crimea, the ministry said.

“Currently, all the activities of the integrated program for testing with operating voltage and the inclusion of a high-voltage line in transit have been successfully completed, including a check of the correct installation and adjustment of relay protection devices, emergency automatics and communication”, the report states.

As the ministry notes, the commissioning of the 500 kV transmission line Rostov — Andreevskaya — Vyshesteblievskaya (Taman) will increase the flow of power in the Crimea during the holiday season. In particular, as a result of the line inclusion, the permissible transfer to the Crimean energy system over the cross-section of the South-Crimea IPS has increased to 850 MW.
