Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Oleg Kravchenko held a meeting at the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry, where he discussed with Darius Skusevicius, Lithuania's Deputy Foreign Minister, the issues raised by Lithuania in connection with the construction of a nuclear power plant in Belarus.




“Along with the statement of a number of significant differences in assessments of the Belarusian and Lithuanian parties, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus informed about the adoption of necessary security measures during the construction and future operation of Belarusian NPP, fulfillment of international obligations and the corresponding interaction of Belarus with relevant international organizations, including cooperation with IAEA”, the press office of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry states.

Oleg Kravchenko informed his counterpart about the current process of examining the results of the stress tests of the NPP during a peer review conducted in accordance with the obligations voluntarily accepted by Belarus and in accordance with the algorithm agreed with the European Commission.
