The Marriott Courtyard Hotel, which is located near Paveletsky Railway Station, will get a new owner. As Vedomosti newspaper reports, AFK Sistema has already found a buyer.




The source of Vedomosti has said that a hotel for 170 rooms will be acquired by an entity that is engaged in managing hotel business of Verny Kapital, an investment company based in Kazakhstan. The main owner of the company is the former chief of administration of Kazakhstan, Bulat Utemuratov.

The company already owns Ritz-Carlton hotels in three countries - on Tverskaya Street in Moscow, Russia, in Kazakhstan’s Astana and in Austrian Vienna. In addition, its portfolio includes Rixos Borovoe located in Kazakhstan.

As the newspaper notes, the deal can be closed in July. According to experts, the hotel can cost up to 1.9 billion rubles.
