The head of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is going to discuss with Russian President Vladimir Putin the building of a nuclear power plant in the republic.
The Uzbek leader has unveiled these plans over the course of a meeting with Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Chinese Qingdao, RNS correspondent reports from the ground.
“At year-end, we have planned very large, enormous projects: even in the peaceful nuclear development”, Mirziyoyev said.
In addition, the President of Uzbekistan has highlighted the developed cooperation with Russia in the oil and gas industry.
“We have very significant projects in the oil and gas industry: the Kandym gas processing complex is a unique facility, the largest one in Central Asia. We have built it together with Lukoil for two years”, the head of the state added.
