Moscow authorities intend to put up for auction buildings that will be vacated after moving the city departments in one of the Moscow City's skyscrapers, Vedomosti newspaper writes.




In total, 51 real estate items with a total area of 80 thousand square meters will be sold at the auction, according to the head of the City Property Department Maxim Gaman. He has noted that the starting price is 15.74 billion rubles but it is expected to be increased by about fifteen percent.

Currently, these offices house 4,400 people from various city departments and their entrusted subdivisions. The premises, most of which were built in the first half of the 20th century, are scattered throughout Moscow. Some of them require an overhaul.

This month the city administration employees are moving move to Oko skyscraper in the Moscow City business center, where the premises with an area of 51,000 square meters were purchased for 13.6 billion rubles.
