In the Russian city of St. Petersburg, scientists have created a map that allows tourists to find the shortest route in each of the cities hosting the 2018 World Cup.
According to the developers, this project will allow fans to save time and choose those attractions that are convenient to look at based on their location at the moment.
When creating the map, the researchers used a method of creating one-day routes, which include the most iconic sights in each of the cities. This method allowed to build routes based on data about popular tourists places on TripAdvisor online service, cultural attractions from Wikipedia and other information from social networks.
