The French company Accor is going to operate a hotel located in the Salut! complex of apartments in the Russian city of St. Petersburg, the press office of the consulting company Colliers International said on Tuesday.

The volume of investments in a hotel establishment under the Novotel brand will amount to 3,5 billion rubles ($52 million). The hotel with 250 rooms is scheduled to be put into operation in 2021.

“Novotel infrastructure traditionally includes a restaurant, bar, event halls, underground parking, fitness area with a swimming pool, and three Sky Lounge for crews of European, Korean and Chinese airlines”, the message by AccorHotels East says.

The plans to establish a Novotel hotel were unveiled back in October 2016, the project manager of the apartment complex Sergey Nogai said. At that time, there was just a framework agreement signed with the French hotel operator for the hotel project, which was originally planned to be built by the 2018 World Cup. The volume of investment in the project was then estimated at 1,5 billion rubles.

As a reference, AccorHotels is one of the largest hotel operators in the world. The company operates in 100 countries, where it manages about 4,500 hotels.
