The city authorities reported on Thursday a significant increase in investments in Moscow Technology Park, a trend that has been observed in the first half of this year.
According to the information published on the website of the Moscow Mayor's Office, the total volume of investment has reached 16 billion rubles ($235 million), exceeding by about 7% the figure of the same period last year. The increase has amounted to one billion rubles.
Vice Mayor of Moscow, Natalia Sergunina, has specified that this trend indicates that comfortable conditions have been created for residents of this special economic zone.
“For this purpose, urban support programs have been adopted: due to the completed quality infrastructure and benefits, high technology projects cut costs and can invest additional money in their development”, Sergunina added.
At the same time, foreign companies have been increasingly investing in Moscow Technology Park. In the first half of 2018, their investments in the SEZ have amounted to 180 million rubles ($2,6 million).
