A new stadium is planned to be built in the capital city of Ingushetia, the Caucasian Republic of Russia, the region's Construction Ministry said.

In July, at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, came up with a proposal to build a football stadium for 15,000 seats in the territory of the Republic. The President supported that initiative.

The regional authorities have already selected the site for the construction of the stadium, which will be located in the capital city of the Republic — Magas. The facility will occupy a plot of land with an area of over 20 hectares. Also, the authorities decided to entrust the local resident with choosing the construction project by means of voting on the Internet. According to the regional Transport Ministry, the cost of the construction is estimated at about 5 billion rubles.

“The authorities of Magas have selected a plot of land with an area of more than 15 hectares, where the stadium will be built. It is located in the industrial zone of the capital city of the Republic. In addition to the allotted territory, the government of Ingushetia instructed to expand the site up to 21,5 hectares”, the report says.
