The construction of the Hino plant in Khimki has been postponed due to the groundwork, but it is planned to begin by the end of this year.

This was said by the Minister of Investments and Innovations of the Moscow Region Vadim Khromov.

“The Hino plant has already been designed, I think that they will start work at a construction site as early as this year, they planned it for late August but faced the need to remove soil from the area. Now the groundworks are completed”, Khromov said.

It was reported that a groundbreaking ceremony for the factory, where Hino trucks will be assembled, was scheduled for August 26. Earlier, the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Utilities of the Russian Federation has issued to Hino Motors Sales a permit to build an enterprise. The area of the factory is expected to amount to about 10,000 square meters. The total investment is estimated at about 1 billion rubles.
